You're the candidate now.
I'm Melissa. I run the part of hiring people actually feel: the scheduling, the emails, the "wait, what time is it again?" Instead of telling you about it, I'd rather put you through it. Takes about two minutes.
You applied. Someone has to find a time.
This is where most processes get messy. Your recruiter has your availability in their inbox, three interviewers have three different calendars, and nobody wants you on a 14-person reply-all. So the recruiter fills out one request, and it lands with me.
What I built
A request builder recruiters fill out once. It drafts the email to me, logs the request, and kicks off everything below. No hunting through threads.
- One intake, every time
- Candidates and interviewers never share an email
- Every request is logged, so nothing gets lost
Your panel just got built.
Three interviews, back to back, with a buffer so nobody runs late into the next one. Each interviewer gets their own invite with your resume and their focus area. You get one clean confirmation.
What I built
The event build. It takes the request, creates each interview on the right calendars with the right details, and adds the right video link. No more copying and pasting the same details into five invites.
I count volume the honest way: every interviewer on a panel is one interview. That's how I land at 1,500+ a year.
Check your inbox.
This is the email that sets the tone for your whole day. Flip between the two. Same information. Very different feeling.
Your final panel for Senior Product Designer is locked in. Three conversations, 45 minutes each, with short breaks in between. Everything you need is below. Nothing you need is buried in a thread.
Hello, Please see below for your interview details. Calendar invitations will be sent separately. Date: 10/13 Interviewers: P. Shah, M. Torres, D. Kim Time: 9:30am-12:15pm Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you, Recruiting Team
I built a branded confirmation email builder and a companion calendar invite tool. Recruiters plug in the details and it renders correctly in Outlook. People are nervous before interviews. Small things like knowing who you're meeting and why help a lot.
Then life happens.
Someone gets sick or a launch slips. Reschedules are where candidate experience usually falls apart, and where most teams stop counting. I count every one. Go ahead, break something.
What I built
A tracker that reads my calendar and logs every schedule and reschedule on its own. A moved panelist counts as a new interview request, because it's real work and it's another email in the candidate's inbox.
That data is what turned "reschedules feel high" into a case leadership could act on.
You never see this part.
A good candidate experience depends on the team behind it knowing what's coming. Every week I sent our specialists a digest: what's ahead, what's broken, what's getting fixed. I also ran All-Hands and Town Halls for the functions I supported. It's not glamorous, and it's half the job.
Coming up
Two hiring events next week. Panel rooms are booked, and interviewer prep goes out Monday.
Worth knowing
The new background check builder is live. Same flow as the interview request builder.
Roadblocks
Reschedules on one team are running high. I'm meeting with their recruiter to figure out why.
On the way
Reschedule tracking by job level, so we can see where panels slip and why.
